Occupational Safety and Health administration (OSHA) was created within the Department of Labor. OSHA is responsible for worker safety and health protection.  

The 10-hour training program is primarily intended for entry level workers.  All training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. When you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize, avoid, abate and prevent safety and health hazards in the workplace
  • Follow OSHA construction industry standards
  • Be aware of company policies that may be different than the ones discussed that sometimes maybe more stringent
